Zero Balancing originated with Dr. Fritz Smith, an MD, Osteopath, Acupuncturist and Rolfing practitioner. Dr. Smith's work addresses both the functional mechanics of the body while resolving energy restrictions and imbalances. Practiced through clothing, Zero Balancing is wonderful as a stand alone treatment or integrated into an existing skill set. This continuing education program is invaluable to many healthcare providers: physical therapists, occupational therapists, massage therapists, acupuncturists, etc. 

Joanna has been studying Zero Balancing since 2004. Her knowledge of both western biomechanics and eastern energy theory allow her to teach with a foot in each world. Her long standing use of this form and ability to articulate what's happening at the table allows students a clear understanding of how Zero Balancing can inform and enhance their current practice.

 Zero Balancing Core I sudents will learn:

• The interfaces of western anatomy and eastern energy systems 
• How to evaluate and balance ligamentous imbalances
• How to find and resolve bone held tension
• Students will learn a complete protocol they can immediately put to use

Freely Moveable Joints sudents will learn:

• ZB principals applied to FMJ
• Evaluations specific to FMJ
• Develop your own fulcrums

ZBX: The Skull

• Explore the energetic significance of the cranial plates

• Learn fulcrums for the cranium, upper cervical and throat
• Access and release the dural tube
